What “aside” means
Wiktionary · Wikipediaaside/əˈsaɪd/
- nounAn incidental remark made quietly so as to be heard by the person to whom it is said and not by any others in the vicinity.
- adverbTo or on one side so as to be out of the way.
An aside is a dramatic device in which a character speaks to the audience. By convention, the audience is to realize that the character's speech is unheard by the other characters on stage. It may be addressed to the audience expressly or represent an unspoken thought. An aside is usually a brief comment rather than a speech, such as a monologue or soliloquy.

every network with a public tag surfaceFollow #aside straight to each platform’s own tag page. Where a platform publishes open data we measure it above; the rest lock their numbers behind paid APIs, so we link rather than guess.
Every number above is measured from a named public API at the shown fetch time. Nothing is estimated or extrapolated. Platforms that lock their data behind paid APIs are not shown. Agents: the same numbers, as JSON, at /api/hashtags/aside
