What “fdroid” means

Wikipedia

F-Droid is a free and open source (FOSS) app store and software repository for Android, serving a similar function to the Google Play Store. The main repository, hosted by the project, contains only free and open source apps. Applications can be browsed, downloaded, and installed from the F-Droid website or the client app without registering an account. "Anti-features" such as advertising, user tracking, or dependence on non-free software are flagged in app descriptions.

#fdroid across platforms

every network with a public tag surface

Follow #fdroid straight to each platform’s own tag page. Where a platform publishes open data we measure it above; the rest lock their numbers behind paid APIs, so we link rather than guess.

Every number above is measured from a named public API at the shown fetch time. Nothing is estimated or extrapolated. Platforms that lock their data behind paid APIs are not shown. Agents: the same numbers, as JSON, at /api/hashtags/fdroid
