Rubha Hunish, the northern tip of Skye. Synthetic walnut ink - behaves like the real thing but light stable and acid-free. The ink is still wet but I've been kicked back into the world. 75 x 20 cm. #Scotland #Skye #art #landscape #sketching
I'm (mostly) packed and ready to set off from our lovely hidey-hole on #Skye for the next leg of our journey in #Scotland. We've now had some practice on those single-track roads, so I'm feeling slightly less ninny-like about the road trip
Superb coastal scenery at Trumpan on the west side of the Isle of Skye's Waternish Peninsula, with the mountains of the Western Isles just about visible on the horizon. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/skye/waterni
What “skye” means
WikipediaThe Isle of Skye, or simply Skye, is the largest and northernmost of the major islands in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. The island's peninsulas radiate from a mountainous hub dominated by the Cuillin, the rocky slopes of which provide some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the country. Although Sgitheanach has been suggested to describe a winged shape, no definitive agreement exists as to the name's origin.
