25 years ago today a minor cable channel named ZDTV (later TechTV) launched and changed my life. Amaze yourself. https://youtu.be/9GjuA-sO9Bk #zdtv #techtv #amazeyourself
💾 Did you know? TechTV was originally launched in 1998 as ZDTV — a channel all about computers & the internet. It was home to cult hits like The Screen Savers and X-Play! Watch classic clips here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irs_CVo5xZ

What “techtv” means
WikipediaTechTV was an American cable television channel with a focus on technology. It was launched as ZDTV on May 11, 1998, by computer magazine publisher Ziff-Davis following two short-lived technology-based programs by the company. Initially targeting tech enthusiasts with programming including The Screen Savers, Call for Help and GameSpot TV, it aimed to report and inform on computers and the internet during the dot-com bubble.
