What “yescrypt” means
Wikipediayescrypt is a cryptographic key derivation function used for password hashing on Fedora Linux, Debian, Ubuntu, and Arch Linux. The function is more resistant to offline password-cracking attacks than SHA-512. It is based on scrypt.
